At the beginning of his talks with Zarif, Lavrov highlighted his country’s interest in the full reestablishment of the nuclear agreement between Iran and the other parts of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Lavrov said: “One of the most important issues today is the task of saving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action for a settlement on the Iranian nuclear program. We and Iran are genuinely interested in returning to full compliance with the obligations of all the parts that they signed. “

Lavrov also expressed the interest of Moscow and Tehran, given their role in the region, to deepen the dialogue on issues such as security in the Gulf and the problem of Afghan settlements, as well as the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region after the cease-fire. .
