Donald Trump spent his first weekend as a former president of the United States, immersed in his favorite hobby, playing golf, at his West Palm Beach club, which he frequented during the holidays while he was president.
Trump was seen playing golf and wearing his red campaign cap with the slogan “Make America Great Again” and a white “Polo” shirt while playing golf.
After playing golf, Trump moved to the “Maralago” resort in Palm Beach, Florida, his new permanent residence, according to the British newspaper “Daily Mail.”
Upon his return, Trump welcomed a small crowd of supporters, some of them carrying American flags, as well as banners reading, “He’s still my boss!” And “Trump won!”
The outgoing president refused to follow tradition and attend the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
The newspaper reported that Trump spent most of his time as president playing golf at his various courses across the country and around the world, but especially in West Palm Beach. She indicated that with Trump’s permanent move to the Maralago resort, he could enjoy his favorite hobby more.
This comes at a time when the Democratic House of Representatives announced that they had set a date for the start of proceedings in the Senate trial to impeach Trump for the disturbances on Capitol Hill.
Trump’s impeachment trial is supposed to begin on February 8.
