At the beginning of the meeting, President Aoun referred to the measures adopted to confront the spread of the “Corona” epidemic, considering that the response to the decision of total closure was positive and registered a high rate despite the presence of of some violations that must be addressed.
President Aoun pointed out that day by day the number of injured increases, as well as the number of people who are victims of this dangerous epidemic, which requires the continuation of measures and their strict application.
President Aoun praised the efforts made by the medical corps in treating the injured, commemorating the memory of the deceased, including doctors, nurses and nurses in the performance of their duties.
In addition, President Diab referred to the results of the measures taken in recent weeks in the framework of the total closure in the country, referring to the extension of the closure until the morning of February 8.
President Diab noted the increase in the number of victims and wounded from the “Crown”, expressing his hope that the continuation of the full shutdown will help limit the spread of the epidemic, adding: “The measures taken by the government have converted the Lebanon is the second country in the world that harshly applies the measures that must be adopted to combat this epidemic, especially since the exceptions are not many, but are limited to what is necessary to secure vital facilities and will continue during the next period of closure “.
President Diab referred to the electronic platform that was established in Saraya to consider special or emergency cases that require exceptions to the decision of total closure, noting that he will continue his work and study the requests carefully and responsibly according to the real need to give such exceptions.
In the context, President Diab presented the measures taken in hospitals to increase the number of private beds with the care of those infected with Corona, referring to the search to increase the number of beds that will be distributed to areas where there is a density population and in which injuries were registered, explaining that all financial and administrative measures have been taken to ensure the arrival of vaccines against “Corona”. During the specified period in accordance with the agreements entered into with the supplier company.
