The Strong Lebanon Bloc held its periodic meeting headed electronically by Representative Gebran Bassil and issued the following statement:

– The bloc hopes that the time has come and the conditions for the formation of the expected government are met, and renews its call to the designated Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, to get out of the state of stagnation and communicate with the President of the Republic to form together the promised reforming government in accordance with the principles of the Charter and the norms of the Constitution.

The bloc asks to keep abreast of the changes that are taking place in the Middle East and the world in a way that preserves Lebanon, its unity and stability, and the bloc believes that the Lebanese should formulate unified national positions from the main rights to ensure that the country is not shaken as a result of any division, such as benefiting from any understanding.

– The bloc emphasizes the need to prioritize reform and anti-corruption laws and the need to quickly pass them in the House of Representatives, especially laws related to Lebanese money and its deposits related to capital control laws, recovery of money transferred and smuggled abroad, the recovery of looted funds and the disclosure of user accounts and properties. Regarding public affairs, we do not find any justification for not dedicating all parliamentary blocs to these laws and putting an end to them by applying them as soon as possible, because of their effect on reforming the situation and restoring the confidence of the Lebanese people in your state. The bloc decided to focus on reviewing all the laws that it had presented but that were not approved and ending all the laws that its representatives are preparing to try to promote them in cooperation with the president of Parliament and all parliamentary blocs.
