“We are satisfied with the atmosphere of these preliminary discussions, and we hope that the upcoming discussions will be equally constructive,” added Wazani.

On the other hand, the International Support Group for Lebanon encouraged the Lebanese government to involve all stakeholders, especially the Lebanese people, in consultations on the content of the economic rescue plan, and also encouraged the government and parliament to work together to create the necessary conditions to implement the required reforms at the right time.

The group expressed its support for Lebanon to help it overcome the current economic, monetary and financial crisis and address the economic, social, security and humanitarian challenges, as well as the repercussions of the Corona pandemic in the country.

He also called on the international community, including international organizations and financial institutions, to support Lebanon’s efforts to deal with the current crisis.
