As for how the rest of the Democratic Party members viewed Lee’s comments on the amnesty, Choi said: “We understood that his comments were the result of his true hope for the unification of the country.”

Lee Myung-bak, who ruled the country from 2008 to 2013, is currently serving a 17-year prison sentence after being convicted of corruption, and his successor, Park-Geun-hye, was sentenced to 20 years in prison last summer. after his dismissal due to a corruption scandal and abuse of power.
