On Sunday night, Lebanese and Syrian media sources reported that a large explosion occurred in fuel tanks in the town of Al-Qasr, on the Syrian-Lebanese border.
The “LBCI” channel reported that an explosion occurred inside a gas cylinder depot in the border town of Al Qasr, indicating that initial information indicated that the depot was related to smugglers.
The Lebanese Red Cross announced that the explosion caused 10 injuries, 7 of whom were taken to hospital and 3 were treated at the scene.
The Lebanese Army issued a statement in which it spoke of the explosion of a warehouse used to store gas and diesel, owned by a person from the Al-Obaid family, and located in the Qusayr region on the Syrian side.
He confirmed that the store is far from the army checkpoint in the area, noting that there are no casualties among the Lebanese Forces.
