Ayatollah Muhammad Taqi Misbah Yazdi was born in 1934 in the city of Yazd, in central Iran. He finished his introductory religious science studies at Yazd, then emigrated to Najaf to complete his seminary studies, then left due to financial difficulties, migrating to holy Qom to continue his education.

He participated in the lessons of Imam Khomeini, between 1952 and 1960, where the late scholar Tabatabai taught him the lessons of interpretation of the Koran, the philosophy of Ibn Sina and Mulla Sadra. He participated for almost 15 years in Ayatollah Bahjat’s jurisprudence lesson.

After Imam Khomeini’s exile, Allama Yazdi continued his research and investigations into the social problems of Islam, including jihad, the judiciary, and the Islamic government.

Allama Yazdi practiced his political activities before the revolution in Iran, and played an effective role in the cultural field alongside his fellow revolutionary religious scholars, such as the martyr Ayatollah Beheshti, the martyr Ayatollah Mortada Mutahhari, the martyr Bahner and the late Sheikh Hashemi. Rafsanjani. During that period, he started several publications, including “Resurrected” and “Revenge.”

He also participated with them to develop the academic seminar and bring it closer to the university. Accompanied by Ayatollah Jannati, Ayatollah Beheshti and Ayatollah Qudusi, he directed the Haqqani School of Religious Sciences in Qom and taught courses in philosophy, ethics and Qur’anic sciences for 10 years. With the support and encouragement of Imam Khomeini, he established various cultural and religious institutions, including the cultural and scientific “On the Right Path”, and later established an educational department in it.

After the victory of the revolution in Iran, Sheikh Misbah Yazdi was elected as an effective member of the Revolutionary Cultural Committee, and participated in the activities of establishing the coordination office between the seminary and the university, reforming the seminar system, and He was encouraged by Imam Khomeini to establish the Baqir Scientific Research Science Foundation, then founded the Imam Khomeini Foundation for Education. And scientific research.

In 1990, he was elected a deputy for the Khuzestan province in the Leadership Expert Assembly for its second session, and later was elected as the representative of the Tehran people on the same council for the third and fourth sessions.

In the last period, before his death, Allama Yazdi held the position of presiding over the Imam Khomeini Foundation, presiding over the Supreme Council of the House People’s World Assembly, member of the Group of Masters in the scientific seminary of Qom, as well as member of the Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution and representative of the people of the Khorasan Al-Razavi Governorate of Experts in the Assembly.

He is the author of numerous books and books on Islamic philosophy, comparison, theology, ethics, and Islamic beliefs, including: knowledge of God, knowledge of the universe, knowledge of man, knowledge of the Qur’an, ethics in the Qur’an, society and history in vision. of the Koran, rights and politics in the Koran, war and jihad in the Koran, the new focus in Teaching of philosophy and others.
