Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatib Zadeh on Thursday condemned the bombing at the Yemen city of Aden airport on Wednesday and offered his condolences to the families of the victims.
Khatibzadeh noted that the continued aggression and external occupation of Yemen’s lands is the main reason for the lack of stability, the lack of law and order, and the endangering of Yemen’s territorial integrity.
He stressed that this type of violence and killing of civilians is the result of the perception of the aggressors and occupiers in Yemen, noting that they destroyed all of Yemen in the name of a fabricated alliance and led, with their exciting perspective on wars and separatism , following the worst humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
“The Islamic Republic, by condemning the aggressive and war-provoking actions of the aggressors and emphasizing the political solution, wants once again to return all parties to political dialogue and end the futile conflict,” Khatibzadeh added.
It is reported that 26 people were killed and dozens injured in at least two explosions at the Aden airport on Wednesday, following the arrival of members of the Mansour Hadi government.
