There does not appear to be a change in the position of Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri, as confirmed by sources close to him from the “Republic” when they say that things remain static at the point where the last meeting between President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Hariri.

The sources emphasized that it is unlikely that the president-designate will initiate a rollback of the principles that he emphasized from his mandate to form a government in terms of reaching a government of specialists, not politicians or partisans, and will not be affected by interventions or attempts to confuse their orientations and overturn the facts and portfolios, nor by attempts that seek to impose new norms. To form the government, it exceeds its powers stipulated in the constitution.

Sources ridiculed what is rumored that the president-designate could, amid the current authorship block, take the initiative to apologize. She said: Everything that is rumored has a known source, and the rooms that broadcast it, and the president-designate does not pay attention to these rumors, and does not stop at them because they do not make sense. Accordingly, he affirmed his full commitment to the French initiative and its rescue and reform components, and is committed to forming a government that saves Lebanon and rebuilds Beirut, and on this basis will continue his mission.

As to whether communication between the president-designate and the president of the republic will resume in the coming days, the sources said: From the beginning, the president-designate emphasized cooperation with the president of the republic in accordance with the constitution, and all must realize that the formation of the government must take place in the near future, and that the delay in it is a serious detriment. The country, and this presupposes, in the first place, stop putting the wheels in the wheels and suspend the writing in unacceptable terms.

Regarding the third blockade, and the possibility of raising the number of the government to 20 ministers, the sources said: The issue of the size of the government has been decided in terms of moving to a government of 18 ministers, and the president-designate insists on this matter . As for the third blockade, there is no way to accept it at all, because it mainly aims to put the government at stake in the moods of some, and it would fail the government, or even destroy it before it was born.
