Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Wednesday that Turkey cannot remain silent on the words and actions issued against it from France, but added that the ambassadors of the two countries are working to normalize relations, noting at the same time that their country wants to improve relations with the United States of America. .
At a meeting to assess his ministry’s performance during 2020 in the capital Ankara, Çavuşolu added that Turkey is ready to take steps to improve relations with the United States and that he hopes the administration of winning President Joe Biden will do the same. .
In this context, the Turkish Foreign Minister noted that his country had offered to the United States to establish a joint working group on “Katsa” sanctions.

“We have offered the United States to establish a joint working group on Katsa sanctions,” Cavusoglu said, according to the “Anatolia” agency.
On Turkey’s relations with the European Union, the Turkish minister said: “We are ready to continue our relations with the European Union in a more positive environment next year, and we hope the Union will be.”
He added that “diplomacy was our priority during 2020, and when the dialogue channels were closed, we were in the field to reopen them again.”
He stressed that Turkey has shown everyone that no event can take place in the eastern Mediterranean without Ankara.
