A member of the Syrian regime’s army was killed and three others injured on Wednesday, as a result of the bombing of a military site near Damascus, according to a Syrian military source.
The source stated, as reported by the Syrian regime media, that Israel carried out a missile attack against a unit of the Golan Defense Forces in the Nabi Habeel area in the Damascus countryside.
The attack resulted in the death of a soldier, 3 injuries and material losses.
There were no official comments from the Israeli side. An army spokesman told AFP only: “We do not comment on reports published in foreign media.”
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the Israeli bombardment targeted Lebanese Hezbollah sites and a Syrian Air Defense Brigade in the area in the Zabadani field.
Israel has repeatedly attacked sites in Syria, as an Israeli bombardment Thursday night in the Masyaf area in the western Hama camp killed six non-Syrian fighters loyal to Iran, according to an observatory toll.
