A group of cyber hackers infiltrated the accounts of an establishment affiliated with Lebanese “Hezbollah”, according to a media report.
Al-Hurra said in a report that the group, calling itself “Spiderz”, had infiltrated the accounts of all branches of the party-affiliated “Al-Qard Al-Hassan” organization.
The report indicated that the group obtained recordings of the cameras installed in those branches, explaining that the hackers had published lists of names of borrowers and depositors in all the branches of the association.
Furthermore, the hackers have published all the information about the loan value of the corporation, the repayment rate and the personal details of the borrowers, the budgets of the branches and the corporation for the years 2019 and 2020.
The hackers also revealed the Foundation’s accounts in all Lebanese banks, including the Jamal Trust Bank.
This bank was subject to US sanctions in 2019 for alleged financial cooperation with Hezbollah, the institution that the US Treasury Department blacklisted in 2007, according to the report.
The report indicated that the group of hackers attached a video in which it announced the hacking operation, during which they obtained information related to the institution and its secret accounts.
The hackers also promised to reveal more information in the next stage, asking those who deal with the institution, including borrowers and depositors, to withdraw their money and boycott “Hezbollah.”
