The head of the provisional government, Hassan Diab, indicated that if Judge Fadi Sawan has something against him, he should send it to Parliament, and things continue their course, confirming his adherence to the constitution.

In a talk with journalists, Diab said that he was the first to open the door to Judge Sawan, and stressed that he was fighting corruption from the beginning. He asked if he would become corrupt if he did not go to the port.

On the other hand, Diab considered that the airport closure is an unnecessary issue at this stage, explaining that the trend towards general closure will be decided next week after the evaluation of the technical committee if necessary.

Diab warned that we were behind schedule with the solution, but indicated that he would not call cabinet sessions because this contravenes the constitution, expressing his refusal to raise support, which should be directed only to those in need. Diab revealed that the governor of the Banque du Liban did not give him the actual figures on the matter, expressing his belief that it is possible to hold out for 6 months.
