Lately I have prayed a rosary of positions of various political figures that revolve around the March 8 team, sometimes dealing with the need to hold a founding conference and another with the conclusion of a social contract and reformulate a new system, given that the current regime has proven its downfall and failure. Those who did not speak in public are secretly saying so, reinforcing doubts that this team could be behind the push towards a comprehensive collapse until the opportune moment to impose regime change, not excluding the assumption that all this is in the context of exerting pressure only.
A few days ago, the head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, MP Talal Arslan, tweeted: “When we announced in 2009 the founding conference and the need to reformulate a new system after the fall of the current regime in all its forms, the voices were they raised against us ”. He said: “Today everyone is talking about this. The matter is secretly and publicly, after they have ensured that Lebanon is not resurrected in its current system. He added: “Arrogance is useless, and adopting an ostrich policy requires frank dialogue.” And before that, the head of the Arab Tawhid Party, former Minister Wiam Wahhab, spoke in the same field, in which Maarab reads uncomfortable indicators that adhere to the Taif constitution and the need to implement the unimplemented provisions after more thirty years after its adoption, especially by handing over weapons and restricting them to legitimacy.
Political circles in Maarab tell Al-Markaziyah that if it is shown that someone wants a change, then we will be faced with two options: implement the constitution in its charter and then complete the work on all provisions related to its development, or if it becomes clear that either party is seeking to introduce a new social contract that places Christians specifically before an election. Third, at that time, we will have another project in front of an attempt to open the door to the constitution to enhance the powers and the role of a team at the expense of the coexistence pact.
How and what is this project based on? Circles report that Maarab has drawn up a comprehensive proposal and will prepare the founding conference agenda, if they so wished, in order to avoid damage to parity and association, which the Lebanese have paid dearly for its consecration and has become in a model that is being implemented in countries experiencing sectarian conflicts. Consequently, sitting idly by in the face of attempts of this kind is a fantasy, especially with regard to the posts of the presidency of the republic and the command of the army.
