The unprecedented sharp criticism of the leader of the “Marada” movement, former minister Suleiman Franjieh, against the President of the Republic Michel Aoun and the leader of the MP of the “Free Patriotic Movement” Gibran Bassil, accelerated the opening of the battle for the presidency Two and a half years ago, since the end of Aoun’s term, and led to entering the country in a transition phase, while efforts are made to negotiate with the International Monetary Fund to obtain a financial loan to stop the economic collapse.

Regardless of the reactions to Franjieh, Lebanon is moving towards managing the crisis due to the difficulty in coping with its repercussions, because it opened the door to the fight for the presidency of the Republic, while non-Maronite forces prefer , until further notice, be placed in the monitoring circle.

And the political forces, Deputy Bassil, have the responsibility for the cracks that hit the “era” of Aoun that prevented the achievements that he had promised, especially after the failure of his agreement with President Saad Hariri and with the party leader ” Lebanese forces “, Samir Geagea.

Political sources affiliated with the opposition say that Aoun has given Basil the opportunity, since he began acting as “the shadow president”, that nothing is happening in the country, without his approval, and confirms that the president of the republic did not have to refer those who met Basil, who was beyond abandoning the presidential agreement and blocking the understanding of Aoun and Geagea. He noted that the reason for abandoning the agreement lies in the fact that Aoun was referring to Hariri during his assumption of the presidency of the government over Basilio, and whoever doubts this should ask about it to the leader of the “future”, who has remained without patience with Basilio’s insistence on interrupting the government’s work.

The same sources promise that returning to the country to the pre-attack stage led by Franjieh has become impossible, even if Hezbollah were to move towards its allies to bridge the gap between them. Hezbollah, as sources say, is now in the middle of its path between its ally Aoun and Franjieh, and does not appear to have any intention of mediating, especially in light of what is reported to have not interfered with Franjieh while preparing for what he will say at his press conference.

Likewise, Hezbollah was participating with those who were complaining about Basil in his complaint, and that he had to contact Aoun, wishing that he would interfere, because there is no interest in the persistence of differences between the “people of the same house”, especially during the government formation, or the inclusion of a batch of quotations for The Council of Ministers agenda.

Although it is important for Hezbollah to support the Hassan Diab government, given that there are difficulties in finding an alternative, it was forced to reconsider its position on negotiations with the IMF, after discovering that the doors are closed for the search for an agency. international loan. Lebanon, but everyone was surprised that the preparation for the Aoun-sponsored national meeting to support the financial recovery plan was poor, and this blamed the President of the Republic’s advisory group on the pretext that it did not secure the conditions for its success. .

Asharq Al-Awsat learned that this team did not have to persuade Aoun of the feasibility of holding the conference, especially in light of the insistence of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri not to make an intervention specifying their position on the plan, which was associated with the meetings of the Parliament’s Finance and Budget Committee that was dedicated to dissecting the plan, It was distinguished by its opposition to the parliamentary blocks represented in the government, which was close to overthrow it due to the loopholes.

Diab reportedly contacted the head of the Finance Committee, Ibrahim Kanaan (the powerful Lebanese bloc led by Basil), saying he is concerned about the negative atmosphere that controls the parliament’s discussion of the plan, although most of them they approach it as a set of ideas that do not fulfill the purpose, and that also need fundamental amendments. It was reported that the reproach directed at Canaan was withdrawn from the President of the Republic.
