Near the scene of the accident, police found a handgun with fingerprints.
This crime attracted great attention from the Russian media, as the police tried to determine the identity of the perpetrator.
A friend of Pronina said that the dancer recently complained about a migrant who worked at a construction site near her workplace, and tried to meet her for several weeks, and was waiting for her daily on the street.
Reports indicated that the police are questioning immigrants working at the aforementioned construction site in an attempt to uncover the man they are talking about, but these efforts have yet to bear fruit.
Police also originally searched for Prunina’s friend Alexander Kravchenko, who lives in the Crimean peninsula city of Yalta and works as an ambulance, but was later found to be at his home at the time the crime was committed.
