Police confirmed that the car explosion that occurred Friday in Nashville, Tennessee, USA (Southeastern United States), which resulted in injuries and material damage, was deliberate, while reports spoke of the presence of other suspicious cars in the city.
Police said what happened was a surprise and the explosion was believed to have been caused by a bomb.
He added that he received a call about a suspicious car, noting that while some of them were driving to the scene, the explosion occurred.
He added that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is participating in the investigations into the explosion, which caused damage to several buildings and the burning of at least 4 sparks.
For his part, the Nashville mayor asked residents not to go downtown, apparently in anticipation of other explosions.

Suspicious cars
The Al-Jazeera correspondent claimed that initial reports spoke of the presence of other suspicious cars in the area of the blast, which, according to a preliminary result, resulted in the injuries of 3 people who were taken to hospital.
The reporter said authorities evacuated the local area at the scene of the blast and asked residents to evacuate their homes.
And the US media reported that a car exploded in the city center, causing property damage.

Loud explosion
Witnesses near the scene said buildings inside and outside the surrounding area shook after hearing a powerful explosion on Christmas morning.
Earlier in the day, local television station “WKRN” quoted officials as saying the blast did not appear suspicious, as reported by the Associated Press.
The same station also quoted the Nashville Office of Emergency Management as saying that a parked RV exploded and damaged several buildings.
According to US news reports, emergency crews have traveled to the scene of the blast.
According to the local ambulance service, there were no serious cases among those injured in the attack.
