A video of the public relations official at the Hormozgan province post office was released on the social network site, performing a dance among a group of employees, and Iranian tweeters distributed a video during the last hours. The Iranian “Tafana” Center for Human Rights indicated that Gholamreza Tibi performed the dance inside a Postal Company building, and ended up being fired and arrested by the authorities.
Iranian law does not make dancing a crime, but judicial officials relied on the laws of “posting vulgar content” and “posing as a prohibited act” to convict Tibi.
Iranian agency “Barna” said that after Tayeb’s removal from his government post, an arrest warrant was issued against him on Wednesday.
On the other hand, the director of the Postal Company, Abdullah Abdali, confirmed that Tibi was dismissed from his position for “acts and behavior in violation of labor regulations.”
It is noteworthy that the guests of an Iranian radio program apologized days ago after they invited people to dance the night of “Yalda”, which is an Iranian winter celebration.
Guests said their intention was to ease the stress caused by the Corona virus by inviting people to dance in the houses.
