Al-Mustaqbal in response to Free Patriot: Returning to the tone of a standard, a circumvention of the French initiative

The Future Movement responded to the recent statement of the political council of the Free Patriotic Movement, and on Saturday night issued the following statement:

The leadership of the Free Patriotic Movement insists on practicing the policy of fleeing forward and overthrowing the only criterion for the formation of governments, which is stipulated in the constitution in article 64 that the Prime Minister “carries out parliamentary consultations to form a government and signs the President of the Republic the decrees to form it.
Apart from this text, there are calls that fall under the compound criteria and the partisan quotas that were eliminated from the constitution and disrupted the work of the executive branch in recent years.

Returning to the tone of the same standards is an unacceptable attempt to circumvent the French initiative, which the president-designate affirmed his commitment, before and after the commission, declaring in all his statements that he will work with the President of the Republic to form a government of specialists and people of integrity and nonpartisan competence.

The designated prime minister is deeply aware of the impossibility of signing government formation decrees without the approval of the president of the republic, because this is stipulated by the constitution and because the regulations require consultation with the president in this regard, which is the path that adopted after handover, in contrast to the sectarian campaigns waged by the Free Patriotic Movement and fabricated news. On the insistence of the president-designate in appointing Christian ministers

The constitution obliges both the president of the republic and the prime minister to sign decrees to form a full Lebanese government, and does not mention, near or far, the authority of the president in charge of selecting Muslim ministers and the authority of the president to elect Christian ministers.

The only way to reform, achieve justice, rebuild Beirut and address the economic crisis and live is to form the government, otherwise a rotation in the circles of seeking an opportunity to achieve the obstructive third, which will not exist from today.
