The text of the Egyptian prosecution’s investigations revealed new developments in the case of actress Abeer Baybars, accused of killing her husband in their apartment in the Al-Basateen area of Cairo.
The defendant said when faced with a photo of a mobile phone that she had in possession during the crime on the day of the accident on May 30, that this photo was taken by the defendant herself, showing the victim lying on the floor of his back, wearing a “red shirt” and the accused in the picture showing his tongue out after his death.
The defendant replied, “I couldn’t be sure he was dead, after the ambulance came and told me he was dead.”
When the defendant asked that the photo be taken before going to the ambulance, “Maarouf” responded, and the defendant did not respond to the prosecution’s question.
Investigations revealed that the defendant wore clothes while taking the photo with her deceased husband and changed clothes before going to the ambulance.
The Al-Basateen prosecution decided to refer actress Abeer Baybars to criminal court, accused of killing her husband.
