Since its announcement last July, a bill to exempt all private and public motor vehicles, motorcycles, and automated rental vehicles has confused 100% of the annual mechanic fee for 2020 or 2021 with owners of cars that confused whether to pay or not.

After leaving the Council of Ministers, the bill passed the second step when it was approved by the Commission for National Defense, Interior and Municipalities. However, this does not mean that it has entered into force, since the General Assembly of the Council of Representatives has not studied the project and has made it an enforceable law, to be published later in the Official Gazette. Will the law pass the third step soon through the approval of the General Assembly?

Representative Rola Al-Tabash Jarudi explained to Al-Markaziyah that “there is no reason for confusion, since the legal path to study any proposed law or bill is through the parliamentary committees, and then it is presented to the General Assembly if approved. This applies to the exemption bill. Of the mechanical inspection fee ”.

He revealed: “We request the inclusion of the aforementioned bill in the agenda of the General Assembly scheduled for the 21st of this month, and it is expected that it will be approved at that time.”
