Various Alphabet services, including YouTube, Gmail and Google Drive, were disrupted for thousands of users around the world today, Monday.

The company’s video platform did not load for users and a “Something went wrong” error message appeared.

According to DownDetector, which monitors service outage incidents around the world, more than 12,000 YouTube users have been affected in different parts of the world, including the United States, Great Britain and India.

The disconnection started shortly before Greenwich Mean Time noon as Google services displayed an error message on servers when visiting, however Google’s search engine was not affected by issues affecting its other services.

Despite the widespread outage, the Google Service Dashboard initially showed no errors, before switching to red status across all services.

“We are aware of an issue with Gmail that affects the majority of users. Affected users cannot access Gmail,” said a statement from Google.

Users can still access website landing pages in “incognito mode”, which does not store a history of users’ browsing activity and can be enabled by changing settings.
