The foreign ministers of the two countries discussed during a telephone call on Saturday, the diplomatic dispute that arose between their two countries after Turkish President Erdogan, during his recent visit to Baku, recited verses by the Azerbaijani poet Bakhtiar Wahhabzadeh speaking of the border river Aras , which angered Iranian officials.
