A preventive operation for “information” … the arrest of two people who planned to steal cars and smuggle them into Syria!

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division – issued a statement in which it stated: “In the context of the tireless efforts made by the Information Division of the Internal Security Forces to stop car thefts, and Through the informative follow-up, information was made available to this division about two people who plan to steal cars AND smuggle them into Syrian territory.

Consequently, the specialized units of the division intensified their investigations and investigations and were able to identify the two suspects:

– to. SECOND. (Born 2001, Syrian).
– a. R. (Born 1997, Syrian).

On April 2 and 12, 2020, and after a careful monitoring and control process, the Division’s patrols managed to arrest the former in the town of Hammana and the latter in the city of Choueifat.

Through their interrogations, they confessed to having planned car theft and smuggling operations in Syrian territory, and that they were in the stage of initiating these operations, provided that the latter facilitated the smuggling process and brought the stolen cars to Syrian territory. The second also admitted that he had previously carried out several operations to smuggle people from Syria into Lebanon in exchange for financial compensation.

The legal requirements were taken against him and filed with the competent authority, based on the reference of the Judicial Power.
