Jared Kushner, son-in-law and adviser to US President Donald Trump, told reporters Thursday that normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel is inevitable.

Jared Kushner claimed that the normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel was “only a matter of time” after Morocco became the last Arab country to do so.

“The meeting of Israel and Saudi Arabia together and full normalization at this stage is inevitable, but it is clear that the deadline will come, to be determined,” Kushner added.

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that Morocco and Israel had agreed to normalize relations between them, with the American mediation.

A US official said Morocco and Israel agreed to establish full diplomatic relations as part of the agreement.

The US administration announced that normalization between Israel and Morocco was carried out under an agreement negotiated with the help of the United States.

Morocco became the fourth Arab country to open a new diplomatic chapter towards Israel since last August, after the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan.

As part of this agreement, Trump agreed to recognize Morocco’s legitimacy over Western Sahara.

A senior US administration official said the deal was concluded during a telephone interview between the US president and the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI.
