An investigation revealed that the terrorist organization “ISIS” (banned in Russia and other countries) was seeking to produce unmanned aerial vehicles.

The BBC reported Wednesday that the planes the organization tried to develop are very fast and powered by simple jet engines.

He noted that internal combustion in these aircraft occurs in the form of pulses, similar to those used in the “V-1” bombs, with which Great Britain was bombed in World War II.

This type of engine was revealed in a recent report by the Conflict Weapons Research Center, which investigates the ways in which ISIS acquired weapons and the process of making them during the period in which it declared its “caliphate.”

The report indicated that ISIS weapons production has advanced similarly to industrial production during the period from 2014 to 2017.

The report revealed that the basic materials used by ISIS in the production of weapons and explosives mainly come from a limited number of massive purchases made by family businesses in Europe and Turkey.

Mike Lewis, head of the center’s advanced research unit, ruled out that a non-governmental group had managed to produce weapons the size of ISIS.

The website noted that the report, released Tuesday, is the result of an 18-month investigation into the organization’s purchases related to weapons production.

In March 2019, it was announced that ISIS had been defeated in Syria and Iraq, after five years of its control over an area of 88,000 square kilometers.

In these lands stretching from eastern Syria to western Iraq, the terrorist organization imposed brutal and strict rule on millions of people.
