Rouhani said: “We believe that the Astana road serves the interests of Syria and its territorial integrity, and we will complete this road seriously.” “We appreciate the measures of the Syrian government to amend the constitution, and we hope that next year Syria will witness general elections in which all political currents will participate.”

Sheikh Rouhani indicated that “Iran has experienced the worst sanctions in the last three years,” and stressed that “it is aware of the difficult conditions the Syrian people are going through as a result of terrorism and sanctions.”

Rouhani also pointed out that “the objective of the assassination of Qassem Soleimani is to avenge the resistance of Iran and the peoples of the region, and that the objective of the assassination of Fakhri Zada ​​is to avenge scientific and technological development.”
