Sources inside Iran reported that Iranian leader Ali Khamenei handed over all his powers to his son Mojtaba after his health deteriorated, at a time when the country is going through many crises, the most recent of which was the murder of one of its most prominent scientists in the nuclear field about a week ago in Tehran.

Ahwazi stated that “it is not yet clear why Khamenei’s health has deteriorated if he suffers from prostate cancer or as a result of another disease,” explaining that “Khamenei’s health has been deteriorating since Friday, leading to to the summons of senior doctors from the Masih Daneshwari Hospital in Tehran. “
The Iranian journalist noted that a meeting between Khamenei and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani was scheduled for Friday, which was canceled as a result of these events.

He claimed there are potential candidates to succeed Khamenei, namely Mojtaba, 51, who is continuing advanced religious studies at the Qom religious seminary, and the other is Ibrahim Raisi, head of the hard-line judiciary who lost the presidential election. of 2017 before Rouhani.
