Prime Minister of the Zionist occupation government Benjamin Netanyahu said: “In these dramatic days, it is forbidden to go to the elections.”
Netanyahu added during a press conference tonight, Wednesday, that “the people of Israel want unity, not elections, and the only way to defeat Corona, which makes no difference, is to work together.”
The Minister of the Occupation Army addressed the leader of the Blue and White party, Benny Gantz, saying that “the deterioration must be stopped by going to the elections and it is not too late, and the country must not be dragged into the elections as we focus our work in standing up to Corona and restoring the livelihoods of all Israelis. “
Netanyahu said: “If the Blue and White party stops the process of dissolving the Knesset, there will be unity, but it cannot be a unity as long as the party forms a government within the government.”
He stressed that “Israelis want Corona vaccines and not go to elections.”
Gantz announced yesterday that his party will vote on Wednesday in favor of a bill to dissolve the Knesset, after the government has been paralyzed for months.
Gantz told a news conference that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had left him no choice but to support the bill to dissolve the Knesset by refusing to approve the annual budget so far.
However, Gantz left the door ajar for Netanyahu, stating that if Netanyahu complied with the demand for speedy budget approval, he would not support the dissolution of the Knesset.
Gantz added that Netanyahu had held Israelis hostage to defend the future of his party and prevent it from being tried, and that he would be the alternative to Netanyahu if things came to new elections.
