At a government meeting, Rouhani declared: “The government rejects the draft decision on strategic measures to cancel the sanctions that Parliament voted yesterday,” and described this draft as “detrimental to the government’s diplomatic activity.” Iranian news agency “IRNA”

The Iranian president stated: “My absence from Parliament is solely due to the fulfillment of the decision of the Special Committee to Combat Coronavirus, and we are all obliged to legally implement the orders of this committee.
