According to the ISNA student news agency, a statement by the Iranian navy indicated that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.

It is worth noting that Iranian radio and television indicated that the Dutch-made “Kanark” ship, which was purchased before 1979, was repaired in 2018 and is equipped with four cruise missiles.
