An official source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement to SANA: The Syrian Arab Republic has followed with interest the unfortunate incident in the Lebanese town of Bcharre, which claimed the life of a Lebanese citizen, and offers its condolences to the family of the deceased, and calls on the Judiciary to fulfill its role with full transparency to incite and put an end to all aspects of this issue. And racist language and exploitation of this individual incident.

The source added that the Syrian Arab Republic, while highly appreciative of the voices raised in Lebanon against the political exploitation of this incident, calls on the government and the Lebanese authorities concerned to prevent any exploitation of this incident to abuse Syrian refugees. and that they fulfill their duty to protect Syrian citizens in Lebanon.

The source said that the Syrian Arab Republic renews the invitation to Syrian citizens who were forced by the unjust conditions of the war to leave the country to return to their homeland and live in it with dignity and security.

The Lebanese town of Bcharre witnessed acts of hostility towards Syrians, forcing some of them to flee, following the murder of a Lebanese citizen at the hands of a Syrian citizen, following an individual dispute between them.

This prompted the Lebanese army to conduct foot and mechanized patrols in Bcharre to restore calm to the area.
