“Human crime” … a statement from Strida Geagea and Isaac

The office of the Bcharre district representatives, Srida Geagea and Joseph Ishaq issued a statement that included the following: First, from the time of the murder of citizen Joseph Aref Touq, we made all the necessary contacts with the official references to discover his circumstances. The perpetrator was immediately arrested, and investigations began with him, and we are following him daily.

Second, as a result of this murder, there were some immediate reactions in Bcharre that were not compatible with the characteristics, values ​​and morals of Bcharre’s children, but we chose to remain silent due to the seriousness of the painful incident.

Thirdly, we, as representatives of the judiciary, can never be silent about the random actions and movements that are still taking place so far and that are outside of all law and order and affect foreign and Syrian workers in particular in Bcharre.

Fourth, the issue of Syrian employment comes first at all times, but it concerns all human beings, whether citizens or farmers, and stakeholders, and should be the subject of continuous and open-minded discussion. , scientific and practical with everyone. But this is one thing, and for anarchist and masked groups to impose their opinion by force on the rest, banging the opinions of the majority of human beings against the wall, is quite another. In addition, and this is the most dangerous, these groups have crossed all limits violating the sanctity of the homes, properties and works of the rest of the human beings, and this is another completely different matter that we do not accept at all.

Fifthly, we, as representatives of the human judicial power, demand that the competent official authorities, whether judicial or security, take all the necessary measures to stop the chaos and the permissibility of private property in Bcharre and impose a reality that the owners of these properties and most of the people of the city do not want by force.

Sixth, we, as representatives of the judiciary, want to ensure that Bashir continues to be an example throughout Lebanon, to abide by the laws and respect others. We also want to ensure that Bashir remains a model for the republic of truth, justice, and order, and a model for a truly strong republic.
