It is noteworthy that on Monday 23 of this month, the drug trafficker Asaad Khalil Kiwan, a Lebanese-Brazilian national and an official of the Free Patriotic Movement, was arrested in Sao Paulo, Brazil, during an operation by the federal police to combat drug trafficking and money laundering.
Kiwan is suspected of being part of a criminal organization that exported drugs to Europe from Brazilian ports. During the investigations, the police seized 50 tons of cocaine linked to the gang and eight arrest warrants were issued in Spain, Colombia, Portugal and the United Arab Emirates.
The operation, called “Company”, identified a ban on assets worth R $ 400 million for those investigated.
