Approval of the use of Antigen to detect Covid-19 with the establishment of a mechanism for importing, using and reporting results.

– Monitor the import mechanism of reagents, whatever they may be, especially those related to Covid-19, monitor their distribution to all authorized centers and laboratories, and require importers to adhere to the precise declaration of the distribution process, since the importer must obtain prior permission for the import process from the Laboratory Union and the Competent Committee to evaluate the quality of the reagents. Before importing them.

Keeping the cost of PCR as it is, i.e. 150,000 Lebanese pounds, as long as the cost of the antigen for Covid-19 is sixty thousand Lebanese pounds (60 thousand), and the cost of the anti-body antibodies remains 60 thousand pounds.

And he announced that “the union will hold educational workshops on ways to use Rapid Antigen to obtain the precise desired result.”

Dr. Haider then explained that “using the Antigen test for people with clinical symptoms will facilitate emergencies that need to make a quick decision in their treatment.” He stressed that “coordination between the Ministry of Public Health and the Union of Laboratory Owners will continue to monitor the good progress of matters and control them and avoid indulgence.

He pointed out “the importance of the media workshops that the Labor Union will organize to explain the steps that are followed with it regarding each exam, its effectiveness and how citizens can benefit from it and obtain the result of their exam as soon as possible, with the aim of separating those infected by Covid-19 from the uninfected. “
