News and personal pages on social media reported that the girl Haya Habib (born 2006) was abducted before her charred body was found in a building under construction after the Deir al-Salib crossing, and was strangled, burned and with broken hands and feet.
The “Al-Watan” newspaper cited official sources in the village and the Hama Governorate Police Command, that the girl’s body was found in the uninhabited house, which is more than a kilometer from her home.
The newspaper quoted the coroner who examined the body and explained to Habib Muhanna that he said the body was “completely charred with fourth degree burns”, and explained that “it was identified from the side adjacent to the ground, that is, in the middle of his right face. “
The pathologist suggested the death was due to pesticide poisoning, and said the fractures were due to the burn.
Dr. Muhanna pointed out that definitely the cause of death “is not possible due to the charring of the corpse”, adding that the cause “can be toxic, euthanized or strangled.”
The newspaper quoted a source from the Hama police command that the cause of death was not yet known and confirmed that investigations are continuing.
It should be noted that the governorate of Tartous witnessed a crime months ago, in which the girl Sidra was raped and murdered in the village of Qlaia in the Ad-Draikish countryside.
