Syrian businessman Rami Makhlouf again broadcast messages on social media, but he dispensed with streaming a video and wrote a post on his official Facebook page dedicated to praying to God to “lift injustice” about him.
This comes after two video clips posted by Makhlouf, addressed to his cousin, Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, on taxes that the regime is trying to collect from its companies, and which are worth 130 billion Syrian pounds.

This religious language is an extension of their existence in the previous two videos, which has sparked widespread derision in the clips. Note that Makhlouf spoke of them “unacceptable pressures” against his companies, and also revealed that the Assad regime security services began arresting employees of his companies, despite being loyal, and despite being one of the biggest supporters of security services in recent years, as he put it.
The Syrians republished what Makhlouf wrote and called it “Sheikh Makhlouf”, writing jokes about him. Meanwhile, Syrian academic and dissident Radwan Ziada said on “Twitter”: “Sheikh Rami Makhlouf.
