Samsung seems to be preparing a host of new devices for its unpacked event on August 5, but the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live wireless headphones could really be here even sooner, and the latest leaks give us a fresh look.
Courtesy of the trustworthy tipster WalkingCat (@ h0x0d) on Twitter, there is a new video and a couple of interesting promotional images that tell us a little more about the successors of Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds Plus.
The video shows Galaxy Buds Live in three different colors, and suggests that active noise cancellation could be on the cards of these little bean-shaped headphones, which turns off at the end of the “keep noise” message.
We’ve seen white, black, and bronze colors in previous leaks, and the noise-canceling ability has also been hinted at previously. We were disappointed that the technology was not in the Galaxy Buds Plus, so we hope to see it this time.

The first image of the new leak batch shows the headphones on both sides, and you can see the built-in microphones and speakers that we assume will combine to block out surrounding noise.
Looking at the second image, it shows that the Galaxy Buds Live is actually being used, and it looks like a perfect fit. The revamped design won’t suit everyone, but at least it offers something a little different than the standard form factor of truly wireless headphones.
Samsung has been trying to generate some excitement around the launch of the headphones, posting its own video on Twitter. However, we don’t take a look at the Galaxy Buds Live, just a hint that they will come and prioritize audio quality.
However, that new Samsung video specifically mentions the August 5 event, countering earlier rumors that the Galaxy Buds Live would appear earlier, in July. It seems like truly wireless headphones could be released alongside the Galaxy Note 20 after all.
