On August 15, Lauren London Nipsey Hussle was honored on what would be his 35th birthday. De ATL actress shared a black and white Instagram photo of rapper “Double Up” with a heartfelt message that reads:

Moai Sterk Feart
The Spiritual Giant that roamed the earth.
“I miss you” will never be deep enough for the emptiness in my soul.
Still, I know you’re running with me – still.

Lauren’s tribute came four months after she denied Nipsey on the one-year anniversary of his death. “The pain is as severe today as it was a year ago,” she captioned an Instagram snap of her. “God knows I would give anything to see you again.” Nipsey was fatally shot outside his store, The Marathon Clothing, in Los Angeles in March 2019. The couple, who have been together since 2013, have a 3-year-old son named Cross. Lauren also shares a 10-year-old son with ex-boyfriend Lil Wayne, and Nipsey had a daughter, Emani, 11, from a previous relationship.

Other stars – inclusive Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, and Swizz Beatz – I pay tribute to Nipsey. Snoop Dogg also released a new track, Nipsey Blue, dedicated to the late rapper. “Just Mentioning Your Name / Makes Me Like Painting My Game,” Snoop says in the 1976 song inspired by Dorothy Moore’s hit, “Misty Blue.” He goes on to say, “Listen to me, homie / When I think of the things we did / My whole world revolves around Nipsey Blue.”
