Some of Spain’s 17 regions have decided to tighten security measures on their territory as the number of Covid-19 cases continues to climb.

Spain has registered 19,382 new cases of coronavirus since Friday, data from the Spanish Ministry of Public Health showed on Monday. The total number of cases in Spain has now reached at least 405,436.

The data also show that at least 34 people died over the weekend due to Covid-19. At least 96 have died in the last seven days.
