When the United States first brought the adorable independent investigators Shawn and Gus to Psych: the movie In 2017, it was performed primarily without the long-time grumpy role of the Carlton Lassiter duo, such as Timothy Omundson, who played Lassie in Psychoanalyze, had just suffered a stroke before filming began and could only appear in one scene. Now, Psychoanalyze is coming back again for another movie on NBCUniversal’s new streaming service Peacock, and this is about Lassie’s triumphant return. Well, that and another strange mystery that only a false psychic and her best friend can solve. This time, the mystery is really about Lassie, with this new trailer revealing that he is seeing ghosts and he needs Shawn and Gus’ help to find out what’s going on. It can’t be ghosts, but seeing as this universe already has a psychic detective, surely anything is possible … Oh wait, she’s a fake psychic. Then they probably aren’t ghosts.

The trailer also features an appearance by Sarah Chalke, who should probably be the prime suspect of all, as she is a fairly famous guest star who didn’t appear in the original series, and there is a good Star Wars: The Force Awakens moment when Shawn and Gus return to the offices of Psych.

Psych 2: Lassie returns home It will be available in Peacock on July 15.
