Lamborghini’s Essenza SCV12 is the most powerful beast of the raging bull – Robb Report

The recently unveiled Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 is the latest in a historic line of limited-edition models from the Raging Bull brand. But you won’t see one rolling down Rodeo Drive as only 40 of these machines will be built, and only for the track. Despite its low production number, the Essenza SCV12 represents a high mark for the automaker, as it carries the most powerful naturally aspirated V-12 engine Lamborghini has ever manufactured, with more than 830 hp.

Few ears will ever vibrate to the tune of the Essenza SCV12 low-pressure Capristo exhaust, let alone experience the smooth Pirellis pavement of the car like someone clutching a deeply discounted laptop on Black Friday. This new Lambo also features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, stiff enough to dispense with an internal roll cage, and a pushrod rear suspension mounted on a six-speed sequential transmission with X-trac load.

And what better way to test your engineering than with personal track time at several of the world’s best racing circuits, which those lucky enough to buy the exciting hypercar will have a chance to access. Starting in 2021, Lamborghini will host “arrive and drive” events where the owners will perform at a famous FIA Grade 1 circuit and let the Essenza’s horses run free. In addition, participants will be supported by Lamborghini Squadra Corse technical staff and will receive career mentoring from five-time Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro and Lamborghini factory driver Marco Mapelli.

Lamborghini has even built a dedicated hangar at Sant’Agata Bolognese to house all of the cars, each owner having their own garage and access to their vehicle via a 24/7 application. There’s also the opportunity to join the Lamborghini Squadra Corse Drivers Lab fitness program, which is a must-do when driving a tired driver capable of generating 2,646 pounds of downforce at 155 mph.

Pricing for this track collector car and its experimental amenities have yet to be announced, but as they say, if you have to ask …
