Lakers News: Anthony Davis wants to represent the color purple for life … sort of

If this were a normal season, the Los Angeles Lakers would have probably known if Anthony Davis was going to re-sign by now. Since this season has been anything but normal, they won’t know the answer to that question until October.

It is true that Davis’ free agency has been an afterthought in the midst of everything that happens in the world. Even he hasn’t given much thought to his impending free agency.

“Actually, I haven’t,” said Davis. “I was still focused on trying to see what the NBA was going to do about this season, and whether or not we’ll be back. But no, this break of four months and three months has not crossed my mind. “

However, Davis made one thing clear during JaVale McGee’s latest vlog: He wants to be the purple team until the day of his death.

Now, it’s pretty obvious that Davis is talking about the purple scrimmage team he played in practice for, but do you know what other team uses purple? Sacramento Kings.

AD to the Kings confirmed.

You can watch the full episode of “Life in the Bubble” with McGee below. It presents a great moment for Frank Vogel’s dad, so I highly recommend it.

1-2-3 Mamba!

Even with what this year has seemingly dragged on for, Kobe Bryant’s tragic death is still fresh in the hearts of Lakers fans and within the team. In fact, according to Taylor Rooks of the Bleacher Report, the Lakers have a new way of breaking up their group:

This is probably not the only way for the Lakers to honor Bryant while they are in Orlando, but it is, it is a truly moving gesture and a tradition that must be continued for generations to come.

Waiters Island Resort

The Lakers can be at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, but make no mistake: wherever Dion Waiters is, Waiters Island follows him and, as we all know, the party never stops on Waiters Island.

Between Waiters and JR Smith, there will be no shortage of content from the Lakers in the bubble.
