A rant on Twitter has been a typical part of any release for a Kanye West album, but last night’s tirade felt very different. The artist, who generally targets detractors within the industry, targeted those closest to him. He left with Kris Jenner. He snapped at Kim. He lashed out at Shia LaBeouf. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Kanye tirade without mentioning Drake! But the fact that he targeted his mother-in-law and wife shocked many and apparently confirmed that this was a much bigger problem than simply launching his next project.

Around the time, Kanye stated that “slavery sounds like a choice,” insisting that he was out of the sunken place. However, the Twitter world did not agree. Many believed that his life was parallel to the film. Salt and that the Kardashian clan is similar to the Armitage family. Kanye finally agreed to this. “Everyone knows the play is about me,” he tweeted amidst the storm of tweets.

It didn’t take long for people to step in, but many expected cast members of the film to make an external statement. Lakeith Stanfield may not have had the lead role, but he played an important role regardless. She shared a photo of the tweet and simply captioned it: “Well damn it.”

Meanwhile, in the comments section, Zack Fox apparently suggested that he embodies the role of Rod Williams. “We have to rescue that man who takes a sword and let’s go,” he said.
