Zucker said the health department was made aware of reports about the Parker Community Health Network in Orange County.
Reports claim that the network somehow receives doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and transfers them to other facilities across the state in violation of state guidelines.
Also, these vaccines were given to members of the public and not to state-designated frontline healthcare workers or nursing home residents and staff.
“We take this very seriously and in this case the DOH will assist the state police in the criminal investigation. Anyone who knowingly participates in this scheme will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” Zucker said.
ABC has reached out to Parker Community Health Network for comment; Their site describes their work as a “multi-specialty center, providing services such as primary care, internal medicine, dermatology, gynecology, physical therapy and pediatrics; helping our patients maintain optimal health and prevent potential diseases.”
