It has been a difficult time for Kristen Doute. The reality star was recently fired from Vanderpump Rules, along with her friend Stassi Schroeder after a racist incident between the two and former co-star Faith Stowers. Since the layoff, Schroeder and Doute have been close, but Doute recently revealed that that has not been the case between her and everyone else on the show.
What happened?
The whole drama started when Stowers took a live Instagram with Candace Rice from Floribama coast. During the interview, Stowers spoke about his experience as the only black cast member in Vanderpump Rules and how it was treated by the rest of the cast.
“There was this article in the Daily Mail where there was an African American woman,” Stowers said. “They put it on display, and I guess this woman was stealing people. And they called the police and they said it was me. This is like a true story. I actually heard this from Stassi during an interview. It was fun because they thought it was me because I was a black woman with a weave. So they just assumed it was me, and called the police. “
Kristen’s apology
Once the Stowers interview began to gain traction, Schroeder and Doute apologized for their actions.

“It has taken me a while to really process what I have been seeing, feeling and learning,” Doute wrote in a statement on Instagram. “And I need to specifically address something that happened a few years ago with my former co-star, Faith Stowers.
“Although my actions were not race-driven, I am now fully aware of how my privilege blinded me to the reality of black community law enforcement treatment, and how dangerous my actions might have been to her,” he wrote. . “It was never my intention to increase injustice and imbalance.”
Who still talks to Kristen?
Doute recently went to Hollywood raw Podcast and revealed that her former boss Lisa Vanderpump has not contacted her since the layoff.
“Lisa … no, not at all,” Doute said. But executive producer Andy Cohen offered some kind words.
“[He] He texted me and said, “Hang in there,” Doute said to the hosts.
However, Doute has found some support from other cast members and people in his life.

“My boyfriend Alex is 100% my support system every day of my life,” she said. “All OG cast members from Vanderpump Rules, like all my best friends have been super supportive. I have my family at home. They have all been truly amazing. And the fans that I still have. You know everyone on social media who have supported me a lot and who want me to improve and be successful. I appreciate it.”
Will Kristen return to the ‘Vanderpump Rules’?
Bravo has a tendency to bring old cast members to his shows over time. But Doute is not so sure that will happen in his case.
“I have no idea,” he said when asked if he had a future on the show. “I don’t know. I mean I don’t think so. I would love to, I hope there is an opportunity for all of us to get back on TV and really take this whole experience that we’re going through as a note to speak to once that we can be on TV again. I think I have a lot to say. I think I have a lot of courage to bring to entertainment. But, as for Vanderpump Rules, I do not think so “.
