Massive infections have occurred in religious demonstrations held in churches across the country. Confirmed cases include hospital nursing staff and quarantine authorities are well aware of the spread in the hospital. Reporter Kim Min-sung’s report. It is a church in Jeonju, Jeonbuk. For two days starting on the 25th of last month, church members from various regions, including Jeonju, Seoul, Gunsan, and Daejeon, gathered and held a rally. Since then, the number of confirmed cases has been followed mainly by those attending the assembly. This is the church where the meeting was held at the end of last month. Typically about ten people attended the service together, but about thirty people were found to have gathered on the day of the meeting. It turned out that quarantine regulations, like creating an attendee list and keeping your distance, weren’t properly followed. Since the 23rd of last month, these meetings were held in order in Daejeon, Jeonju, Hoengseong, Gangwon-do and Hanam, Gyeonggi-do. Among the confirmed patients who attended the meeting, there was an employee who worked in a hospital and nursing home. Excluding these personnel, all workers, patients and residents were evaluated negatively. Quarantine authorities, however, have quarantined patients who cannot move as much as there is the possibility of spread, and the rest are transferred to other hospitals for treatment. The Jeollabuk-do quarantine authorities have decided to close the churches and continue to conduct additional inspections and risk assessments for members.
