Since the start of corona19 vaccination in Korea at the end of last month, more than 200,000 people have been vaccinated in one week. Seven people, including those living in nursing hospitals suffering from underlying diseases, died after vaccination, experts noted that we should not be in a hurry to inoculate nursing hospital residents. Reporter Lee Dong-woo reports. Since the start of the Corona 19 vaccination in Korea on the 26th of last month, more than 225,000 people have completed the vaccination in one week. The vaccination rate relative to the domestic population is 0.43%. When looking at the vaccination rate by vaccination institution and target, the number of residents and workers in nursing hospitals was the highest, with 74.7% of all targets. In the case of nursing homes, the vaccination rate was 40.2% and in medical institutions above the hospital level, 7.9% completed vaccination. Among these, the number of deaths after vaccination increased by two more, totaling 7 people. All additional deaths were nursing hospital residents with underlying illnesses. Experts point out that nursing hospital residents should take time to observe their health rather than rush to get vaccinated. Quarantine authorities are investigating causality between vaccination and death, but the connection is slim. The number of suspected adverse reactions reported after vaccination also increased from 860 to 1578. These included six suspected anaphylaxis, one severe allergic reaction, and one seizure. Although there are some adverse reactions, the quarantine authorities urged them to actively respond to vaccines so that the benefits of receiving the vaccine are much greater.
