The news of Jeong’s death was delivered to the National Assembly on the morning of the 21st. A member of the National Assembly cleanse in the House of Representatives is said to have told a member of the National Assembly power staff Lee Young who met early in the morning, saying, “A man with a small shoe is dead.” This news was soon spread to the National Assembly through the National Security Council (Consejo de Seguridad Nacional).

There were two shoe guys in the Assembly Hall. One was the guy with the ‘tall’ shoes and the other was the ‘short’ Jung, who recently died. The cause of death is said to be liver cancer. The first thing Jeong’s death noticed was none other than the shoemaker. The place where he found Jung, who was invisible after the search, is said to have been the morgue of Severance Hospital in Sinchon, Seoul. Jung’s body, without a family, made his way to the Byeokje crematorium in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, at noon on the 21st without even having a funeral.

National Assembly attendees who stayed in the same space with Mr. Jeong remembered him as “the man who laughed well” and “the man who always greeted me first.” In the smoking area on the sixth floor of the House of Representatives and on the rooftop, he mingled with several attendees and quickly burned cigarettes. People around him learned that Jeong’s health was abnormal about a week before his death.

The National Treasures Association set up a small memorial space in front of the office where he was working on the 21st to commemorate Jeong, who was alone in Yeong-myeon. Soon after, the Democratic Party of Korea also joined the commemorative procession at the council level. Here, government and opposition aides write their own memories of Mr. Jeong on a notepad to continue their memorial service.

Jeong said that he worked in slippers every day. An assistant of his said, “In that world, I will pray that you wear shiny shoes and run.” Another assistant who works for ‘1002’ wrote: “I am very grateful that ‘Mr. Shoes’ has been able to play with us for the last 20 years.” I am very sad about the sudden obituary of the ‘Uncle of Shoes’ ‘you have changed,’ he wrote. “My cigar friend on the roof, go well and have peace. The politician’s memorial also continues. On the afternoon of the 21st, Ho-young Joo, the National Power of the People’s Leader, visited this place and said, “Good luck.
